How the Buddy Icons work
txtbuddies only allows you to send to 'blue buddies'. A 'blue buddy' means that the subscriber is a genuine opt-in member of the txtbuddies Community and has agreed to receive TXT messages from other Community members.
As soon as a friend joins the txtbuddies Community, his or her grey buddy icon will automatically change to blue. This signifies that they have agreed to receive your TXT messages.
